FAQs

1. How do I know if somatic EMDR or nervous system support is right for me?
This work supports you if you feel disconnected from your body, overwhelmed by emotion, or stuck in patterns that feel hard to shift through talk alone. You don’t need the “right” words—your body already knows the way forward.
2. What happens in a session?
Sessions are contained, guided experiences where we tune into your body and nervous system. We create a safe space to explore sensations, patterns, and emotions, moving at your pace. Some shifts are subtle, others expansive—it all unfolds according to what your system is ready for.
3. Do I need to revisit painful memories to heal?
Not always. Healing doesn’t require diving into every story. We often work with sensation, capacity-building, and present-moment experience, letting your body guide what is ready to be felt and released.
4. What if I don't feel anything in my body?
Numbness, disconnect, or shutdown are still part of your experience—and they are understandable. We’ll approach whatever is present with gentleness. Over time, your system can begin to soften, notice more, and feel safer inside itself.
5. What is EMDR, and is online work safe?
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an evidence-informed method that helps the nervous system process experiences that feel “stuck,” supporting you to feel more present and connected. Online EMDR can be just as safe and effective as in-person work when you have a private space and stable connection. Sessions are paced according to your comfort, readiness, and nervous system cues.
6. How will I know the work is helping?
Progress is felt in the body and nervous system—sometimes subtle, sometimes profound. You may notice small awakenings, memories surfacing, shifts in old patterns, or a greater sense of presence and ease. Healing is unique to you.
7. What do I need for an online session?
A safe, private space is key—a place where you can settle into your body without distraction. A stable internet connection and, if you like, headphones are all that’s needed.
8. How long does therapy or coaching usually take?
There’s no set timeline, although I allow a 50–90 minute window depending on the pace your body wants to address. Some people work for a season; others for deeper ongoing support. We move according to your body’s rhythm and capacity, deciding together what feels supportive.
9. Do you offer a free consult or intro call?
I don’t offer intro calls, but there are many ways for you to share what you’re seeking—both before and during a session. Somatic work is an embodied experience that can’t be contained in words; it needs to be felt, not talked through.

For many people, understanding doesn’t arrive all at once. It begins inside a session, with enough time and safety to gently meet what’s been held for a long time. There’s no big moment to reach—just a slow opening that asks for care and respect. The first session is simply a beginning. Your body sets the pace, and we move carefully, listening to what it’s ready for.
10. What is your cancellation and rescheduling policy?
Sessions can be canceled or rescheduled with at least 24 hours’ notice. This allows time to offer your space to someone else and maintain the integrity of the session for all clients.
11. Do you provide invoices for insurance or reimbursement?
I don’t panel with insurance or provide super bills for reimbursement. I endeavor to offer prices that reflect the quality of my work and the comprehensive care I provide. Flexible options are available to bring sessions to you, wherever you are rooted in the world. This care is for everyone.
